What is HDRI?

HDRI stands for High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR) is basically a panoramic or 360 degree HDR image. These images are used as a 360 degree background in the computer simulation or CGI industry. The difference between these images and a 360-degree (JPG) image is that using these images will actually capture the actual light (sun or …) in the image. This will make the projects more realistic. Normal images are 8-bit and HDR images are 32-bit, so the color range in these images is much wider than conventional images.
