Modular is an important tool in modern architecture and every architectural design is based on a system of dimensions and measurements. In this series of Rhino architectural modeling tutorials, we want to talk about one of the most important aspects of parametric modeling.

Having a wide set of numbers that are all completely different from each other and mapping them to the nearest values ​​they can control, in order to optimize.To do this, we will design and practice several modular facade surfaces of the building and also apply them to the floor plans of different buildings to show that they can be applied to any architectural design and in any situation.

In this Rhino tutorial I will also explain several architectural visualization techniques (including modules by color) and practice optimization techniques using the Galapagos Evolutionary Solver tool, and how to use the Human Plugin to locate 3D blocks, we will do the facade design in a completely optimized and light way.

This course tackles one of the most important aspects of parametric modeling; having an extensive series of values that are all distinct and map them to the nearest controlled value for optimization purposes.
